We are TasTAFE, Tasmania’s publicly owned training provider. The Role
We have positions available for suitably qualified and experienced individuals working Part time, 58.8 hours per fortnight. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking and highly skilled team at the forefront of agricultural training.
You will be based at the Mooreville Rd Campus and at the Agriculture Centre of Excellence, both in Burnie. Our teachers are often very mobile and have opportunities to work across all parts of the state.
On any given day, your duties will include:
- Teaching and inspiring the next generation of agriculture practitioners at our facilities or at their worksites.
- Collaborating with industry experts to invest and grow agriculture.
- Working on developments such as the ongoing expansion of the Agriculture Centre of Excellence at Freer Farm.
- Liaising with employers, students and industry representatives around delivery and assessment of training
What you will bring
- A diverse skill set encompassing hands-on agricultural practice and experienced agricultural machinery operation
- Farm Best Practice in the Tasmanian context of cropping/production horticulture and or livestock
- A passion for guiding the next generation of agricultural workers and leaders
- Certificate III in Agriculture or equivalent
- Previous experience in delivering agricultural outcomes and programs would be valuable.
