About the Role
We are seeking three permanent full time teaching staff to join HVGS with the details for each role below:
Teacher – Humanities (History & Philosophy), permanent full-time
Start date 20 January 2025
Position Summary – A Senior School Teacher at HVGS is a proactive member within our Senior School and is engaged in providing a stimulating, engaging, evidence-informed and holistic education to years 7-12 students. Having experience with the International Baccalaureate MYP, CP and/or DP courses would be highly desirable. It would be highly advantageous if the successful applicant was able to teach across the humanities faculty.
Work Pattern – Teach the applicable full load of classes across Stages 4 to 6, Monday to Friday. All staff are expected to be on campus from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Teacher – Languages, permanent full-time
Start date 20 January 2025
Position Summary – A Senior School Teacher at HVGS is a proactive member within our Senior School and is engaged in providing a stimulating, engaging, evidence-informed and holistic education to years 7-12 students. The ability to teach a minimum of two languages is essential, ability to teach Mandarin in some capacity is highly desirable. Having experience with the International Baccalaureate MYP, CP and/or DP courses would be highly desirable.
Work Pattern – Teach the applicable full load of classes across Stages 4 to 6, Monday to Friday. All staff are expected to be on campus from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Teacher – ELC (Disability & Inclusion Support), permanent full-time
Start date 22 July 2024
Position Summary – The Early Childhood Teacher is a proactive member within our Early Learning Centre and is engaged in providing a stimulating, engaging, evidence-informed and holistic education within our childcare program. Some key duties include:
- Develop, Implement and evaluate student individual learning plans (ILPs) on a regular basis.
- Support the ELC Director with applications for Higher Learning Support Needs (HLSN) funding as per student requirements.
- Be the expert in disability & inclusion, and actively promote best practice and professional development for ELC staff.
- Be the point of contact for staff and families with regards to disability & inclusion.
Work Pattern – This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week on the days and times as follows:
- 8am – 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
- 8am – 4.30pm Wednesday (this day may be subject to change depending upon the needs of the school)
