An excellent knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum and a capacity to deliver content in an engaging manner are also desirable qualities. Teaching experience in the following courses will be an advantage:
- Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) English
- ATAR Literature
- General English
- English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) 7-12
- 7-10 English
The ability and initiative to work well with your colleagues as part of a team to develop teaching strategies, resources and approaches to ensure each student can reach their maximum potential should be addressed in your application.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
