AddressChester Hill High School (CHHS) is a comprehensive, co–educational secondary school situated in south western Sydney and is part of the Auburn Schools Educational Network. The school encompasses an Intensive English Centre. Chester Hill High School has a current student enrolment of 1090 (929 mainstream, 161 IEC). The school is culturally diverse with 93% of students possessing a language background other than English. Chester Hill High School has 117 refugee or refugee–like students and a growing number of students with an Aboriginal background. The FOEI of the school is 160. Selection Criteria- Approval to teach English 7-12 and English Extension 1 & 2.
- Demonstrated ability to collaboratively develop, implement and evaluate innovative, engaging teaching and learning programs, that differentiate for a diverse range of students’ needs
- Proven highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to work collegially as part of a team to develop quality teaching programs and a willingness to contribute to whole school and extracurricular programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in classroom management pedagogy and wellbeing practices
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
