Please note applicants need not necessarily possess teaching experience, as the right candidate may be trained and developed through coaching, mentoring and partnering. Importance is placed on possession of the appropriate qualifications, industry experience and the right attitude.
To be eligible to become a TAFE Queensland teacher you must hold one of the following qualifications:
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAEASS502 and TAELLN411; or
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
- Diploma in Vocational Education and Training; or
- A higher level qualification in adult education.
Additional Mandatory Requirements
• possession of relevant formal vocational qualifications (Certificate III minimum, Australian equivalent); and
• ability to demonstrate a broad range of current industry skills and experience.
Salary
$85,142.43 - $96,376.48 gross per annum (TAFE Queensland Educators' Certified Agreement 2023)
