AIT (Academy of Interactive Technology) is a specialist higher education and vocational education institution based in Sydney, Australia. AIT was established in 1999 and specialises in creative disciplines such as; digital media, information technology and business.

With two campuses based in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as a dedicated online learning system, students can study knowing that they have access to cutting edge facilities and some of the country’s best digital educators.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Our Technology and Design division is searching for a motivated School Engagement Officer that is passionate about connecting with people and supporting our future students through High School Engagement and overseeing all key external events.
The Schools Engagement Officer supports the Schools Engagement Coordinator in the development and delivery of outreach activities with key partner schools. This team manages the scheduling and delivery of a suite of in-school and on-campus activities designed to enable student experimentation and raise awareness of career pathways in the fields taught at AIT. The team’s activities aim at raising awareness of AIT as a tertiary destination, promoting pathways to tertiary study and enhancing the reputation of AIT with students in targeted schools.
This role involves managing High School Counsellor relationships; facilitating on-campus visits; coordinating all Sydney based career expos, school-based workshops and seminars; career development activities; and other curriculum-enriching activities with a focus on senior secondary (Years 9 -12).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Work closely with the Academic team to establish and deliver interactive workshops for multiple study streams, inclusive of 2D animation, 3D design, Film, Games Design and IT programs.
- Actively build and manage relationships with High School Career Advisors across metropolitan and regional NSW.
- Manage the planning and execution of major external and internal events including public exhibitions, High School career info sessions, and open days.
- Establish and present a repertoire of interactive presentations to deliver in schools and on campus.
- Establish and maintain a detailed database of key School stakeholders in the CRM system (HubSpot).
- Identify and contribute to business development opportunities.
- Engage with AIT and external stakeholders, professional and community organisations.
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience teaching or working in the High School Sector is considered an advantage.
- Experience in managing High School Career Advisor relationships, or have previously performed in a Career Advisor (or similar) role.
- Significant experience in stakeholder engagement.
- Strong time management and planning skills.
- Experience in event and/or workshop organisation is considered an advantage.
- Excellent ability in managing deadlines and monitoring projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, and to work collaboratively in project environments.
- Experience working with diverse student cohorts; ability to raise aspiration for further study would be desirable.
- Drivers license required
