Salary: $81,627 - $138,606 (pending experience - includes Highly Accomplished (HAT) and Lead Teacher (LT) salary scale)
Applications Close: Monday, 15 April 2024What we are looking for:Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, Bundaberg. This is a full-time contract position to commence as soon as able until 19 January 2025.Under the direction of the Principal and in collaboration with classroom teachers the Learning Support Teacher will provide intervention support to students, especially those with specific learning needs. We seek a skillful practitioner with good knowledge of curriculum and a strong understanding of the diverse learning needs of students. The ability to work well with parents and carers in the support of their child will be a requirement of the role.Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Share case load with Learning Support Co-Ordinator, working in collaboration with parents, teachers and students to ensure Personal Learning Plans are developed and communicated.
- Work with Learning Hub Team to deliver intervention to students requiring consolidation and support.
- Organise and timetable visiting paraprofessionals.
- Meet with parents when necessary to discuss strengths and areas of needs with students with learning disabilities.
- Relevant tertiary qualification (or eligible to graduate)
- Appropriate qualities, knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education
- Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- A desire to serve the communities located within the diocese of Rockhampton
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
