Toukley Public School is situated on the NSW Central Coast. Our school expectations are that respect, responsibility and excellence are ubiquitous throughout the school and its community. We have an enrolment of 517 students from Preschool to Year 6. The school receives significant equity loadings for socio-economic status, Aboriginal background and students with disabilities. Our school has 148 (26%) Aboriginal students who are well supported through close connections with the Muru Bulbi Aboriginal Education Consultancy Group (AECG) and a designated Aboriginal Education Officer.
Approval to teach Special Education and/or demonstrated experience teaching students with Autism in a support class setting with demonstrated ability to differentiate the curriculum and implement individualised learning programs that are inclusive and maximise student engagement.
Demonstrated capacity to plan and deliver quality and innovative Individual Learning Plans for students in multi-stage classrooms that respond to sensory, social, emotional, personal and academic needs whilst managing and supporting students with complex behaviours.
Excellent interpersonal skills and organisation with the ability to contribute to our whole school culture by working cohesively and collaboratively with students, colleagues, parents, carers, external agencies and the wider school community.
