We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic upper primary teacher to join our dedicated teaching staff from Term 2 2024. This is a full time temporary position for the period stated above. This is an opportunity to join a school where the focus is on working with every student to reach their full potential. St Michael’s School is a single stream co-educational school with an enrolment of approximately 240 students from 3 Year Old Program to Year 6. The school was established in 1914 by the sisters of Mercy. St Michael’s is a multicultural community, consisting of children from many ethnic backgrounds. The school enjoys a close relationship with the parish and strong support from the parent community.

- Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, resourcefulness and a passion for education
- The capacity and enthusiasm to build positive and constructive relationships with students, colleagues, parents and the wider community
- Possess strong ICT skills and the ability to integrate technology in the teaching and learning program
- Be fully supportive of the Catholic ethos
- Effective communication skills
Qualifications Required:
- Relevant 4 year tertiary qualification
- Accreditation to Teach Religious Education, or the ability to achieve Accreditation to Teach Religious Education
Applicants must have a current registration as a teacher with the Teachers Registration Board of WA (TRBWA) to be eligible for appointment. Information is available on www.trb.wa.gov.au. Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, addressed to the Principal, including the names and contact numbers of three referees, one of whom must be the current or most recent employer. On appointment successful applicants will require a Working with Children Check (WWC).
