This Brisbane based Organisation is an endorsed provider for Better Access to Mental Health, and facilitates it's Mental Health and NDIS patients to build trusting, positive relationships with animals that provide comfort, happiness and companionship.
Through the loving client/animal relationships that are formed, this unique Organisation are able to support their clients in their rehabilitation- helping them to achieve a better quality of life. What you will be doing- Working with a qualified therapy dog to provide in home therapy to NDIS and Mental Health patients (80% Paediatrics/ 20% Adults)
- Seeing 4-5 clients face to face a day for 50min sessions
- Providing therapy via Telehealth on ad-hoc basis
- Facilitating the formation of positive, trusting and respectful relationships between clients and the animal
- Writing summary notes and reports to feedback client progress to the Director and relevant Organisations
- Leading and liasing with a team of passionate Occupational Therapists and supporting them with questions about their caseload
- Engaging and upskilling your knowledge by meeting with a range of clients presenting with different conditions i.e.; autism, ADHD, Bipolar, ODD, schizophrenia
- Above award salary; $116,000 - $135,000 + Super

- 3 day working week!
- Great support; first few weeks you will shadow the director and learn how to engage the patient and animal and facilitate a therapy plan based on patients needs and goals
- Fortnightly in person team catchups (and breakfasts paid for!) to discuss challenging caseloads
- Admin team that handles bookings and billings so you can focus on delivering top quality therapy to your clients
- Opportunity to EARN EXTRA $$$ per NDIS report written
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- AHPRA registration
- Minimum 3 Years experience working as a Occupational Therapist and previous Team Leader experience
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Drivers license and own vehicle
