Purpose of this role: NP Fulfilment is a Third-Party Logistics Business and the position of Team Leader is core to the Operations of our business. 

Experience working in a Supervisory role for a Third-Party Logistics Company is required for the Team Leader position. Ability to lead and direct a warehouse team is very essential. You must be committed to providing exceptional application across all tasks related to this position

You are required to have good knowledge on the following and must ensure Team members know how to use:

• Basic tools: Tape gun, Box Cutter, Trolley Jack
• HHT – The Hand-Held Terminal, is the tool used for most operations within the warehouse. You must be able to use this effectively.
• Technology & equipment – you must have working knowledge of all equipment & technology used in your warehouse. You must ensure there is regular maintenance of all equipment and repairs are organised & carried out in a timely manner
• If the equipment is broken down & is a safety hazard, you must report it to your manager and inform all staff – place a notice on the equipment to say it is not to be used.
• Damage to any company equipment, whether it is major or minor, must be reported immediately to the manager – do not hide the damages or dismiss it as not being an issue – this will not be accepted!
• Forklift High Reach/Sit Down (LF Class License required)
• Forklift – Walkie (No License required)
• You must carry out Weekly inspections of pallet racking & ensure all damages are reported and fixed at the earliest
• Minor issues with staff must be discussed with the concernedonly, dealt with right away & not allowed to escalate. Major incidents with staff must be reported to the HR department / your Manager, immediately & NOT discussed with the staff.
• Everything is relevant when you are at work - so do not dismiss anyone or anything as if it does not matter – it will effect the smooth running of the business in some way.
• From time to time you may be required to work additional / modified hours (including weekends) to ensure all work is completed in accordance with the company guarantee.
• You are responsible for managing the correct packaging and ensuring there is always sufficient quantity available - reporting to place orders in a timely manner is very important so that the staff can carry out their work uninterrupted.
• You will be responsible for a set of keys to the gate and warehouse that you have been given & also responsible for who you entrust them with when you are not in.
• The external areas of the property are to be well maintained by the company that is contracted to do so …. plants/garden/nature strips. You must ensure pallets are neatly stacked & stored - if any are damaged, do not keep them on the premises. All rubbish is to be collected by the respective contracted company (whether they can be recycled or not) This is not to be left to accumulate on the premises.

1) Position Purpose : The role of the Team Leader is…. 

• Carrying out the Day-to-day functions of the Receiving and inbounding process.
• Managing the safe and efficient movement of stock around the warehouse whilst carrying out the various required task:
o Inbounding stock
o Put away of stock
o Stock transfers
o Replenishment
• Oversee and ensure processes are followed ( when performing the above-mentioned tasks) so that we Maintain Inventory accuracy on Everest & FM as required.
• Carrying out the Day-to-day functions of the dispatch process.
• Identify and escalate any non-conformances or protentional issues that require resolving to Customer care & Inventory controllers for further action.
• Direct staff and assign task to ensure effective utilization of labor available.

2) Principal Accountabilities 

Carrying out the Day-to-day functions of the receiving Process.
Unloading goods from suppliers Vans / Trucks within our OH&S guidelines.
Ensure all warehouse personal adhere to process in place when performing the various required tasks of:
• Inbounding
• Put away
• Stock Transfers

• Replenishment
• Cycle counting
• locating goods into warehouse.
• Ensure all outgoings goods are packed and labeled as required so that the goods are protected in transit and the presentation of a high quality is maintained.

Managing the safe and efficient movement of stock to and from the warehouse area. 

Picking stock as per request from Processing area and delivering to required destination

Planning and coordinating the various external service providers in the warehouse area:
o Waste removal ( General & Recycled)
o Forklifts (Maintenance & Repairs)
o Freight carriers (TNT, StarTrack, DHL)
o Ensure adequate supply levels of AP cages, LOSCAM pallets and standard pallets are maintained.
• Investigating and responding to various request from Customer service and Inventory Controllers.
• Housekeeping.
o Ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained and stored in its appropriate location.
o Ensure regular safety checks are performed on equipment and warehouse using the designated checks in Safety Champion APP.
o All activities carried out in the warehouse area need to be done so with the highest attention to safety and good work practices.
o Ensure warehouse & Yard is Organized and Tidy at all times.

o Inbounding SLAs not met.

o Regular external service providers pickups not carried out.
o Inventory accuracy.
• Attendance.
o Punctuality.
o Time off within Statutory allowances.
• Work Ethic.
o Ability to work in a team environment.
o Proactive behavior. (Keeps Busy. Customer Service focused).
o Able to work unsupervised.
o Problem resolution.
o Tidiness of Warehouse area.
o Nil Safety Non-Compliance items issued against Warehouse.

Workplace Health and Safety are most important to us at NPF and in this position, you are also required to :

• Maintain a safe working environment and follow the Company WHS Health and Safety Policies while performing all tasks.
• Ensure all safety issues are reported immediately to the Operations Manager.
• Must conduct regular tool box meetings with staff - cover OH&S matters, general performances, health issues and any relevant concerns at the time (eg COVID )
• Report all safety hazards – if they can be dealt with right away, please do so – if not, ensure it is being seen to & follow up till it is fixed. Also check exit lights are always working.
