As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth transition of program residents to independent community living by providing top-notch trauma-informed and recovery-oriented support. Your responsibilities will encompass coordinating and supervising the support worker team, as well as overseeing daily operations at the residential facility.
Working closely with the Service Manager, you will uphold the highest ethical standards and ensure the delivery of services aligns with the National Mental Health Standards, The National Framework for Recovery-Oriented Mental Health Services, and The Australian Service Excellence Standards.
Your role will involve fostering a collaborative, safe, and supportive culture within the service, supporting both staff and residents. In collaboration with the Senior Social Worker, you will lead the assessment, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of support plans for clients during their stay.
This position offers a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract to backfill maternity leave.
About You:
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:
- Extensive professional experience supporting individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or acquired brain injuries.
- Proven coaching and mentoring skills to support team members effectively.
- Expertise in Recovery-Oriented Practices and proficiency in Trauma-Informed approaches.
- Desired experience in residential service coordination.
- Ability to oversee 24/7 staff scheduling and participate in on-call support during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent.
- Maintenance of a full, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- Maintenance of First Aid and CPR certificate (or ability to obtain).
- DHS Vulnerable person related employment check.
