About our opportunity
Our Asset Management team manages the implementation, review and maintenance of Council’s strategic Asset Management practices to manage 20+ asset classes in an integrated and effective way to meet the needs of the City of Moreton Bay community. Assets include roads, paths, buildings, public amenities, parks, drainage, street lighting and coastal assets.
As the Team Leader Asset Management Engineering, you'll be responsible for the Asset Management Plans for your own portfolio of approx 5 asset classes, as well as leading a team of 8 including engineers, technical officers and students.
You'll be providing expert technical Asset Management advice for the development, implementation and review of the strategic Asset Management framework in line with ISO55000, and leading the capture of condition assessment and defect data across all council asset. As well as:
- Providing technical leadership in the management of contracts
- Supporting the development of team capability to drive a high performance, continuous improvement and customer focused team Building strong relationships with key stakeholders across Council.
The team is committed to collaboration and work in the office together on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You're welcome to work in the office or work from home the other days.
About you
Expertise in Asset Management is essential in this role, and you'll bring your experience in providing expert technical advice in line with ISO5500 Asset Management principles. You'll also bring:
- Experience investigation and analysis and using a variety of software to manage asset and project programming data
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong relationship management skills to work in a positive team environment and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Degree in Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia (required)
- Current C class driver’s licence (required).
