About the Role
Reporting to the Manager: Clinical Placement Unit, this position is responsible for the operational aspects of the Clinical Placement Unit (CPU) and leads a team of Placement Officers. The Team Leader is the Academic Units (CHS and ALH) key reference point for Clinical Placement administration and is a conduit between the Academic Units and Central Units and is a key external stakeholder reference point.
The position is responsible for ensuring the correct and consistent interpretation and application of the University’s academic administration policies and procedures in relation to Clinical Placement within the Academic Units.

Essential Skills and Experience
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated previous experience working in a senior administrative position in a complex service environment, including managing and developing a team in the provision of superior quality customer service
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining respectful and successful business relationships with a range of stakeholders
- High level verbal and interpersonal and problem-solving skills including experience in liaising and negotiating with people at all levels both internal and external to an organisation to provide advice and recommendations to senior staff
- High level writing skills appropriate to prepare briefings and/or reports based on self-initiated or directed research, investigation and analysis for a wide range of audiences
