Known for our progressive approach and dedication to our residents, we're on the hunt for a Team Leader Community Development to join our vibrant team.
Here, you'll use your skills to lead a team and your Community Development knowledge to support our Community Relations function, to enhance community connection and engagement.
So, what's the role?
In this role of Team Leader Community Development, you will lead the team responsible for delivery of a range of community services, projects, and activities within the CHSP government-funded framework and coordinating our volunteers’ participation to increase wellbeing of the City of Prospects Community. In addition to leading a small but mighty team, you will also have your own community projects to drive and deliver, including in the sport and recreation space.
Here's what you’ll dive into:
- Promoting a positive customer service experience and a high-performance culture, with people leadership, direction and coaching to support the development and growth of the team and community programs.
- Build and nurture relationships with local clubs and community groups to enhance community connection and engagement.
- Find and develop opportunities for further growth and expansion of our community programs.
- Liaise, negotiate & renew leasing and licensing for local sporting and community clubs.
- Take charge & lead projects and strategic initiatives related to Community Development, sport & rec, healthy ageing, and other Council programs.

Do you have tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Social Science, Community Services, or related field and/or commensurate demonstrated experience in lieu of formal qualifications?

Have you got solid ‘hands on’ experience working for and with the community through delivering projects?
