Community Support Team Leader

Compassion SA are looking for compassionate and hardworking full-time Community Support Team leader to join our team, we offer a flexible working environment, competitive pay rates and professional development.
About the role:
The role of the Community Support Team Leader is to work alongside our operations team, focussing on undertaking responsibilities and tasks in relation to the daily rostering and service delivery functions.
This position demands a high attention to detail, a display of initiative and an 'above and beyond' approach. You will demonstrate exceptional organisational ability and have a strong and confident knowledge of technologies such as the Microsoft Office Suite and the use of different systems.
No one day will be the same and you will require the flexibility to handle multiple tasks from different areas of the business. Your day will be filled with a variety of duties which will ensure you are busy and engaged at all times.
As a Community Support Team Leader, you will provide support to our Operations team, NDIS participants and company team members.
Your roles will include, but are not limited to;
- Work with participants to achieve their own personal goals
- Work with participants to address any barriers, crisis/conflict as required
- Work creatively with participants to find positive outcomes
- Take participants out into the community to do activities
- Assisting participants with maintaining their rosters of support to meet their individual goals.
- Manage participant information to ensure all relevant records and correspondence are current and provide an accurate reflection of service provision.
- Personal Care
- Providing excellent support to our field staff, providers and third-party funders
- Responding promptly to telephone calls, emails and requests
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Problem solving and multitasking skills essential
- Strong administration and organisational ability
- Strong display of initiative and drive
- Seamless written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- High attention to detail
- Experience with databases and Microsoft Office
- Previous experience in rostering (not essential but preferred)
- Afterhours phone support system
About you:
Our ideal candidate will be highly person-centred, an excellent communicator with the ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Time management and organisational skills are crucial to working in the role, ensuring the participants choice, control and autonomy is at the heart of what you do.
We require:
- Minimum Certificate III in Disability/Aged Care or willing to obtain
- Must have, or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Must have, or be willing to obtain a Working with children Check
- Must have, or be willing to complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You'
- Must have full COVID vaccination (unless you are an excepted person) as defined by the South Australian Government Directive - All applicants must be able to comply with this requirement
- Current DHS Working With Children check and NDIS worker check
- Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to work across a 24/7 roster
