A new era is beginning in the Customer Services & Venues Team, and you might be just what we are looking for! We are looking for an enthusiastic person to lead a multi-skilled team as part of the broader multi-channelled Customer Service Centre. This role has a particular focus on document management, mail room operations, and our general enquiries phoneline.
The role of our Team Leader – Customers & Information includes:
- Leading a team of Customer and Information service professionals in the triaging of enquiries and correspondence, and provision of frontline customer service through Council’s general phone enquiry line, mailroom, e-requests, and inboxes.
- Ensuring that Council’s physical correspondence sent by Australia Post is processed efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Ensuring accurate and timely capturing of customer requests and metadata into corporate systems.
- Preparing and distributing staffing rosters in conjunction with Coordinators to ensure adequate skill level and resourcing across the branch.
- Processing customer transactions, and handling more complex and confidential transactions when required.
Who we are seeking as our newest team member:
A positive and engaged leader who has at least 3 years demonstrated experience in a similar role as well as:
- Diploma in Business or related field.
- Proven ability to translate contemporary customer service and records management theory into practice.
- Proven ability to lead a team in the delivery of a high standard of customer service.
- High level proven communication skills, including handling difficult customers.
- Experience in managing and improving process performance.
