ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
We are seeking an administration professional with leadership qualities to join Council's Development Services team. Reporting to Council’s Manager Development Services, this newly created position will supervise and coordinate a team of experienced and hard working Administration and Customer Service Officers to ensure responsive and Customer focussed delivery of services within Council’s Development Services section.
Leading by example, you will be involved in providing high level administration, Customer Service and secretarial support, as well as actively contributing to team development and motivation.

- Certificate IV Business Administration or equivalent and demonstrated relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the coordination and supervision of staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and initiative to drive and implement changes to processes where improvements or efficiencies can be achieved.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent Customer Service.
- Proven excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and the ability to liaise with both internal and external customers.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and organise high volumes of work in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
The rewards
- An annual full time salary range of $74,800 to $85,900 (plus 11% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
- 19 day month working arrangement. Council is currently trialling a range of flexible working options. Subject to operational requirements, full time office staff will have access to a nine day fortnight, with a thirty minute lunch break. For the duration of the trial arrangement, staff will also have the option to apply to work a compressed four day work week, subject to operational requirements and approval.
