KOTZUR GROUP is a market leading engineering/fabrication business with over 140 employees based in Walla Walla NSW and over 60 employees based in Toowoomba Qld. With clientele from all over Australia, we specialise in the provision of bulk solids storage and handling facilities for the agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking to add an experienced Design Team Leader to manage our data control and Rural project design in our Walla Walla team.
Reporting to the Design Manager of Storage and Projects, you will be responsible for managing data control, coordinating design-related ERP business system activities such as the development of bills of materials (BOMs) and routings, standard part creation and maintenance, delivery of design and drawing outcomes for rural projects, and providing general support to the Design Manager Storage and Projects.
You will develop a strong working knowledge in storage products and related systems and services offered by the Kotzur Group, as well as a general knowledge of the product range. Possessing a clear client focus, a strong structural aptitude, and superior problem solving and communication skills, you will be a point of reference across the Kotzur Group. A willingness to take responsibility for a task, and drive the solution from conception through to completion is essential. Your skills, enthusiasm, and energy will be a valuable contribution to the continued growth of the Design Data and Rural Team, and the Kotzur Group.
Key Accountabilities
Data Control
- Manage and assist in ERP system data entry activities:
- Enter, and maintain currency and revisioning of parts
- Develop and enter manufacturing routings
- Enter and update Bills of Materials as required
- Manage and assist in the development and updating of Packing Lists as required
- Collaborate with key stakeholders from production and site install with respect to part updates and modifications
- Ensure that Kotzur Data standards are maintained
- Implement resolutions to NCRs and Change Management Requests
Rural Projects
- Ensure that packing lists are effectively structured and contain all necessary information.
- Coordinate the checking of drawings and assist with checking as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes of practice.
- Ensure that detailing activities meet best practice professional standards and guidelines.
- Work effectively with the estimating, sales, project management, design, engineering and manufacturing teams to meet (and exceed) the expectations of the client in bringing a project to fruition.
