Maxima’s expanding footprint over its 35-year history enabling a significant extension of services to new and existing clients and customers. Maxima’s scope includes Temporary and Permanent Recruitment, Apprenticeships and Traineeships, NDIS plan support coordination and health services to people living with disability through Allied Health Services, First Nations Employment Services and Specialised Employment Services including DES, NDIS and employability training. Our combined offering is one of the most extensive not-for-profit recruitment, training and employment services in Australia, employing 480 staff nationally.

Work with people living with disability, injury or ongoing health conditions, to assist them to gain and remain in employment or partake in further study to enhance skillsets for future opportunities. You will work closely with our customers to identify their needs to overcome barriers to remaining employed by identifying workplace adjustments and or modifications prior to or in employment.

Work with local employers to build disability confidence and encourage diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Provide information to employers on the Work Assist Program and how Maxima can support employees at risk of losing their job due to illness or injury.

You will be…

Passionate about improving the lives of those living with disability, you will have a customer-centric attitude and the energy to network within the local community and grow the Maxima footprint

Your responsibilities will be to 

  • Provide coaching and support to team members to enhance and drive performance,
  • Establish and nurture positive relationships with team members, external Community Partners and Employers
  • Promote a positive and thriving team environment.
  • Identify, implement and maintain person-centred strategies to assist customers to remain in employment.
  • Liaise with Centrelink, healthcare providers and other community organisations to address areas where further support is required to achieve sustainable employment.
  • Maintain and strengthen employer relationships as a representative of Maxima.
  • Undertake associated administration and record keeping in JobReady and the Department’s IT database to ensure that files meet relevant guidelines and accreditation requirements.

This is a fixed-term, full-time role, working Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm. The role is located at our New Norfolk office with some travel required within the region.

We provide full training, and we'll help you to develop your skills in Employment Services.


What will you need to succeed?

  • Demonstrate drive and compassion, working closely with our customers, inspire them and remain goal orientated to assist them to retain employment.
  • Have previous experience in a similar role within the Disability sector, with current working knowledge of ESS and Job Ready Live (JRL).
  • Knowledge of Disability Employment Services (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience in delivering high levels of customer service in a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Effective intervention strategies to ensure ongoing employment that can also provide opportunity for career development.
  • Network with and build relationships in the community.
  • Experience working one to one with people with disability, injury or health condition.
  • You must hold a current driver’s license, national police check, working with children check and NDIS worker screening, or be willing to obtain.

Our team encourages innovative thinking and a can-do approach to the challenges of this role. Due to the nature of our customers’ Employment Support needs, you must be able to work outside of business hours and be based at our various sites on some occasions.
