This includes a coordinated approach to corporate planning, monitoring andreporting, whilst ensuring business processes and systems are effectively supported, reviewed andenhanced, and will facilitate continuous improvement, maintain high corporate standards, goodgovernance from procurement to Council processes, well managed resources from people to financesto properties and deliver sound plans for long term financial sustainability.I POSITION CONTEXTUnder broad supervision of the Coordinator Financial & Strategic Accounting, this position is accountablefor the provision of quality outcomes in accordance with customer needs as outlined in the Service Planand Performance & Development Review Conversation, by applying skills, knowledge, experience andjudgement, guided by established policies, procedures and methods as well as the application ofprofessional standards, education and training to meet current and anticipated changing organisationalneeds.As an Operational Leader, this position provides direction, guidance and coaching to staff under day-today supervision using advanced resources allocation and people skills to achieve quality outputs alignedto customer needs.The role communicates with a range of customers and stakeholders including consultants andcontractors; government departments and agencies; other local governments; the business community;vendors and suppliers; auditors; members of the public; and City Leaders and employees.A challenging aspect of the role is undertaking accurate and consistent work within a dynamicenvironment with regular interruptions and changing and competing priorities within tight timeframes.The City values an agile workforce where people are engaged to deliver excellent customer outcomesand have the aptitude to adapt to changes in the internal and external environment.
