The Opportunity
The Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board is looking for a talentedleader to fill a 12-month contract leading a team of landscapeofficers and delivering of a range of programs and projects inaccordance with the Eyre Peninsula Regional Landscape Planpriorities.
Working with the Manager Landscape Operations, this role is akey driver for contributing to effective community engagement andoperational delivery of landscape management objectives at thedistrict level.
Operational priorities include, pest plant and animal control,sustainable agriculture, water resources, biodiversity, communityengagement and compliance requirements under the Landscape SouthAustralia Act 2019. The Team Leader works across the district andregional boundaries to coordinate and integrate community andstakeholder engagement in landscape programs and projects.

The Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board works with community,industry, and other government agencies to sustainably manage ourregion's natural resources, with an emphasis on protection andrestoration of our soil, water management, biodiversity, and pestplant and animal control.
The Eyre Peninsula region covers approximately 80,000 squarekilometres and includes part of the upper Spencer Gulf, the city ofWhyalla, across the southern boundaries of the Gawler Ranges, pastCeduna to the edge of the Nullarbor Plain and south to the fishinghub of Port Lincoln. The Eyre Peninsula supports a population ofjust under 60,000 people and is the traditional lands of FirstNations peoples.
Other key functions include development of water allocationplans for prescribed water resources, where applicable, andoperating as the relevant authority for a range of water, landprotection and animal and plant control activities.

Special Conditions
- Position is based at Whyalla or Cleve and may be required to work from other locations.
- A current minimum class C driver’s licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4WD is required.
- May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
- May be required to work outside of normal hours from time to time.
- Maintain an up to date First Aid Certificate.
- May be required to participate in field operations requiring off-road driving, travel in light aircraft or boat, and/or overnight absences in remote locations.
- This role has been designated a Position of Trust and requires a satisfactory National Police Clearance prior to employment.
Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in environmental science, natural resources management, or equivalent is desirable.
Remuneration: ASO6, $97,022 - $102,626 perannum.
Contract: This is a full time position, working37.5 hors per week (1.0 FTE) up to 12 months.
