Exciting Opportunities Awaiting You!
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join our Accommodation Services Division in Lithgow. Our Accommodation Division offers support to individuals living with a disability, in a diverse range of housing options, that meets the individuals needs. As a Team Leader, you’ll supervise the smooth operations of group homes, with participants that require 24/7 care. We'll support you along your carer journey and give you the opportunity to develop into the best leader you can be.
Key Responsibilities in this role include:
- Leading a team of passionate Disability Support Workers and empower them to provide high quality services to participants
- Communicating with families, guardians and a variety of stakeholders as required to discuss participants progress and issues
- Assisting participants with daily tasks such as personal care, health and hygiene while making their dignity and independence a top priority
- Assisting participants to work towards achieving their goals and aspirations
- Manual Handling of clients as required, including use of hoists
Are You Our Ideal Candidate?
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong desire to achieve results with participants
- A current First Aid Certificate
- You’ll be experienced in using client/data management systems
- Experience as a Disability Support Worker or equivalent
- Experience providing support for persons with a disability with a strong person-centred outcomes
- A sound understanding of and demonstrated commitment to WHS, ethical practice and the NDIS Code of Conduct and Ethics (preferred).
