Remuneration: Dependant on Classification:
Nurse Unit Manager Level 2: $129,235.88 per annum
Occupational Therapist Level 5: $126,240.00 - $129,309.00 per annum
Social Worker Level 5: $126,240.00 - $129,309.00 per annum
Clinical Psychologist: $105,553.00 - $128,653.00 per annum
Senior Clinical Psychologist: $134432.00 - $142,133.00 per annum
Senior Psychologist: $115,175.00 - $124,803.00 per annum

About the Opportunity
We are currently looking for the next leader of the Macarthur Community Mental Health team. Are you ready to take the next step in your career?
The Adult Care Coordination Team provides recovery orientated and strengths focused interventions to those in the Macarthur LGA aged between of 18-65 years of age, with severe and persistent mental illness.

What You'll be Doing
The Team Leader is responsible for the leadership, guidance and line management of the Macarthur Adult Care Coordination Community Mental Health team in collaboration with their manager. They provide supervision, support and clinical expertise within Mental Health services for the delivery of safe, timely, compassionate and high quality, recovery focused and person-centered care. They are involved in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services. They identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, as well as service delivery and develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff and teams within the district.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Occupational Therapist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
(AHPRA), Qualified Social Worker which provides eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social
Workers (AASW), Full Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with full endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology or eligibility to progress to 'Clinical Psychology Endorsement' with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent. Registered Nurse, currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) * Demonstrated leadership skills with the capacity to lead a team in the provision of effective, evidence based, recovery orientated assessment and treatment services, within a community based context.

  • Previous experience in relevant Mental Health treatment settings.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy and practice of consumer's families and natural supports participating within the treatment process, as appropriate and in accordance with the NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and personal resilience.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills including interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and competence in the use of information technology systems.
  • Knowledge of and the demonstrated ability to implement the quality improvement process and involvement in service evaluation and development
  • Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment
