The Role
Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager you will be responsible for:
- Managing end to end processing of the weekly payroll
- Weekly exception checking and complex payroll processes such as terminations and redundancies
- Time and attendance release management including scenario testing
- Data analysis and report writing as required
- Responding to queries including award interpretation and system advice
- Providing training and support to the payroll team and stores on system processes and procedures
- End of month and end of period processing
- Documenting payroll and system related procedures and checklists
- Experience in a similar high-volume payroll
- Experience working with payroll systems and time and attendance systems
- Sound knowledge of payroll-related legislation including superannuation, tax and Fair Work
- High level numeracy and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience with documenting payroll procedures
- Experience with payroll reporting tools
