About the role:
With supervision and support from the Manager – Payroll Operations and Systems, complete payroll functions of the organisation in accordance with relevant legislation; provide quality maintenance of the payroll information system; and perform administrative support as necessary.
- Assist with processing the fortnightly payroll including payment of wages, superannuation and leave using the Aurion, Mirus Works and Alayacare systems.
- Establish and process new staff and various termination payments.
- Interpret and provide advice on Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, Awards and other employment and payroll legislation.
- Assist with the running and analysis of fortnightly, monthly and end of financial year reports and reconciliations.
- Maintain the Aurion database including updating employee personal, pay and leave records.
- Prepare letters and correspondence for employee pay matters as required.
About you:
- Demonstrated knowledge of payroll operations and practices, and ability to process a payroll in an accurate and timely manner.
- Demonstrated knowledge and use of Human Resource/Payroll Information Systems.
- Sound knowledge of taxation, superannuation and payroll legislation and ability to interpret Awards and Agreements.
- Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or WMQ Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement
- Well-developed organisational, communication and team work skills.
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work.
- Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy.
