  • Full time continuing role for an agile Team Leader based within the Faculty of Medicine & Health
  • An exciting opportunity to work on implementing strategies and operational support
  • Base Salary $108,557 + 17% superannuation


About the opportunity

The Team Leader, Management and Operations role oversees the implementation of strategic plans, providing operational administrative support and guidance. They manage the deployment of operational strategies and coordinate administrative support for the local leadership team.

This role involves handling day-to-day operational matters for FMH facilities, collaborating with Schools and FMH Operations staff, and ensuring effective planning, staffing, and decision-making. The goal is to ensure buildings, equipment, and community resources meet operational and strategic objectives.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • oversee occupancy, conduct audits for space utilization, and manage daily building-related activities ensuring efficient operational support
  • address all facilities and building-related issues, liaising with various stakeholders including ICT, external vendors, and project managers
  • provide leadership, manage performance and development of administrative staff, and ensure effective resource allocation
  • identify and manage risks, develop emergency plans, and ensure compliance with WHS policies and procedures
  • oversee resource deployment, align operating activities with strategic projects, and optimize resource allocation across units
  • undertake additional projects and activities as assigned by the manager.


About you

  • strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and effective leadership and people management skills
  • ability to manage diverse stakeholders on various projects and cultivate productive relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers
  • excellent time, workload, and organizational management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement
  • advanced skills in word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and enterprise systems, along with experience in Adobe, SharePoint, process mapping/management software, and web content management
  • excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
