About the Role
We currently have an opportunity for Team Leader to join our Queensland Team based in Moranbah.
- Safety: zero harm, Safety performance, compliance, safety leadership
- People: Productive, aligned and engaged work crews, training and development
- Operational Excellence: Effective utilisation of resources (labour and equipment); Continuous improvement of Operational Processes.
- Compliance: Oversee completion of driver inductions and that they are conducted effectively. Permits and licenses are valid and maintained, total adherence to site and company regulations.
- Safety leadership: Manage operators safely through their shift; pre-start checks processes including TRAMS / JSA are adhered to at all times, monitor and manage fatigue. Deliver against safety management plans and manage adherence within the team.
- Incident investigation: Support Operations Manager & Supervisor in conducting effective, high quality incident investigations. Responsible for the implementation of corrective actions
- Accountability and performance: Team member’s accountabilities and responsibilities are understood, and employees are delivering to expectation. Address performance issues within the team (with Operations Manager & Supervisor support).
Qualifications and Experience
- Current Forklift License
- Current HR (or Higher) Truck License
- Current Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with Yard Operations
- Experience with Handling Bulk and Packaged Dangerous Goods
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
- Ability to work well within a small team environment
- Clean Shaven
About You
- Experience in logistics/transport/mining services industry
- Experience in Leading a Team
- Ability to use optimisation techniques for scheduling, rostering and asset and labour utilisation
- Understanding of safety and compliance practices and regulations in logistics industry including chain of responsibility.
