About the role 

The Mater Private Hospital Mackay has an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader Supply Chain Operations to join them in a permanent full-time role. 

The Team Leader Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the Team Leadership and delivery of a seamless Supply Chain Service across Mater Private Hospital Mackay.  The Team Leader will operate across Supply Chain functions including, but not limited to; Purchasing, Inventory Control, Warehousing and be focused on building collaborative, customer-focused relationships maintaining a business partnering approach.

Salary range: $42.05 - $46.33 (MCA L4) per hour plus superannuation plus access to generous salary packaging

What you'll be doing 

The Team Leader of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the Team Leadership and delivery of regional performance objectives aligned with organisational performance expectations.  This role will supervise and support regional teams to adopt new ways of working and standardised processes enabled by technological capability. 

Your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to): 

  • Lead and supervise a regional team to deliver cohesive, collaborative Supply Chain Operations services to Mater customers 
  • Oversee Supply Chain operational workflow  
  • Ensure regular communication on performance expectations 
  • Participate in ongoing stakeholder engagement activities  
  • Focus on supporting and developing the regional Supply Chain Operations  
  • Actively build awareness and understanding of Mater Group and Mater Health values 
  • Adhere to the Supply Chain Operations processes

About you 

As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated Team Leadership experience ideally gained in a large, complex organisation.  You will also possess the following: 

  • Experience of leading change and be able to demonstrate sound change management capability 
  • Demonstrated experience in Supply Chain Operations 
  • Strong knowledge and experience of ERP platforms or purchasing and inventory management platforms 
  • Demonstrated IT skills and be able to work with the MS Office suite, online collaboration tools and workflow/project management applications 
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to communicate outcomes to deliver client expectations 
  • Must demonstrate initiative and be proactive in communication 
  • Must have a strong commitment to working with people to lead and deliver change 
  • A Diploma in Purchasing or Inventory Management or equivalent (desirable) 
  • Experience within healthcare is highly desirable
