We currently have a terrific opportunity for a Team Leader Maintenance Urban Maintenance to join our Open Space Maintenance team.
About this Role
As Team Leader Urban (West), you will be responsible for achieving high quality outcomes within the Open Space Maintenance Team.
Working hours will be from 7:00AM - 4:00PM with 9-day fortnight. Workdays will be starting and concluding at Latrobe City Council's depot at Moe.
The position objectives include:
- To supervise the successful delivery of the Urban Maintenance Team maintenance services activities in accordance with Council’s strategies, policies, Horticulture Maintenance
- Standards and objectives in annual program plans.
- To provide information and recommendations on issues relating to Open Space for maintenance, refurbishments and new developments/upgrades.
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure that customer requests/complaints are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, public risk is minimised and due diligence is exercised.
- Regularly review staff performance against objectives and identify training and development required for improving performance, effectiveness and job satisfaction.
You will also be part of Council’s Open Space Maintenance leadership team and will work collaboratively with other members of the unit/organisation to contribute to positive outcomes for the community.
About You
For this role, we are seeking someone with proven experience in Team Leadership and budget control and detailed practical knowledge of Open Space Maintenance equipment Urban Maintenance operations.
You'll need:
- Well-developed ability to plan day to day operations in advance and develop achievable and cost-effective work programs.
- Proven experience in the operation of plant and equipment relevant to Open Space Maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience in fostering a high level of customer service.
- Current Medium Rigid Vehicle license as a minimum
- Certificate in Traffic Control and Work Site Traffic Management.
- Current Farm Chemical Users Permit and Chemical Spraying license
- Current industry White Card.
