Team Leader Water Quality

Lower Murray Water (LMW) is a water corporation providing services to around 80,000 urban and rural customers along the Murray River. Our service region lies within the traditional lands of First Nations Peoples, starting from Barapa Barapa (Koondrook), travelling downstream along the Murray River through Latji Latji (Mildura) and flowing to Ngintait at the South Australian border. With over 200 staff located in and around Mildura, Swan Hill, Kerang and Robinvale, our vision is for a healthy, sustainable water future.About the role: Team Leader – Water Quality is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of Lower Murray Water’s Drinking Water Quality Management Plan, to assist in the delivery of potable water in compliance with the regulatory requirements for safe drinking water. Reporting to the Manager Water Quality & Environment, you will provide technical support to the manager and guidance to water treatment plant operators to ensure LMW provide the community with quality and safe drinking water.Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:Contribute to a safety-first cultureEnsure operations in water treatment plants are aligned with the Drinking Water Quality Management Plan.Provide internal audit services and develop, review, and modify Drinking Water Quality Management Plan procedures, SOPs, monitoring and recording processes.Summarise, interpret, and report on Water Quality data and trends to monitor the effectiveness of the Drinking Water Quality Management Plan.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Water Quality performance reports.Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to team members to enhance their professional development.View the full position description: Team Leader - Water Quality About you:To be successful in this role, you will have the following or willingness to further develop skills in:Demonstrated experience in managing Drinking Water Quality Risk Management Plan and Health Based Targets.Experience in water treatment systems, processes, and technology.Experience in developing staff and creating positive supportive environment. Experience in developing and carry out investigations – with focus on water treatment.Demonstrated experience in successfully adapting to a constantly changing operating environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively consult and negotiate with staff, customers, and external organisations to achieve win/win outcomes.We encourage to you apply even if you don’t tick all the boxes.
