As a member of the Lineage team, you are a critical link in the food supply chain.The Asia-Pacific region currently includes Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Singapore employing nearly 3000 team members.Due to an internal promotion, we are now looking to appoint a Team Manager, Operations for our Laverton North facility in Melbourne.This is a frontline, leadership role with a Wednesday to Saturday, 2pm to midnight roster, focused on ensuring the site is operating in a safe, compliant, profitable, and cost-efficient manner whilst ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and service is being delivered.We're looking for a Team Manager with a safety-first mindset and the energy & enthusiasm to support an engaged and high performing team culture.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assisting with the implementation & management of site safety initiatives and being a visible safety champion, ensuring safety policies & procedures are adhered to.Role modelling the values and behaviours of the company and leading by example, enabling effective collaboration between teams.Ensuring agreed customer service levels are met on a consistent basis and regularly reviewing operational performance and taking corrective actions to address any issues.Supporting and managing the performance of the team, including reviewing KPIs, ensuring productivity outcomes are achieved and inventory is appropriately managed.Ensuring daily and weekly labour and resourcing requirements are met.Ensuring all team members are trained to operate all machinery/equipment and understand the company's warehouse work systems.Engaging the team frequently to drive a constructive and positive culture.To be successful, you will ideally have:Extensive experience in a similar role (logistics/transport industry is preferable)A background in a retail logistics environment within a distribution centre or a fast-paced FMCG environmentStrong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, product safety, quality and legality issuesExcellent experience and knowledge of a multi temperature operationQualifications in Logistics Management or a business discipline, and/or equivalent relevant experienceStrong leadership skills, managing a large sized operational teamExperience and knowledge with transport / route distribution is advantageousBasic understanding of profit and loss and other KPI’s that drive storage, handling and distribution costsBasic knowledge of labour cost control and improvement, and the relationship between labour and handling revenue​Why is this opportunity exciting?As well as receiving a highly competitive, six-figure salary, you will be joining a values-based business, proud to offer you a respectful work environment built around trust, collaboration and support.This means we will do everything in our power to set you up for long-term success.In addition, this particular role will afford you with the opportunity to make a positive impact on our team ensuring we remain a great place to work.Our Purpose: Transform the food supply-chain to eliminate waste and help feed the world.Our Vision: To be the world's most dynamic temperature-controlled logistics company.Our Values: Safe, Trust, Respect, Innovation, Bold & Servant Leadership.Why Lineage?Lineage is more than just a cold storage logistics business.
