Job description

Provide advanced level clinical, management and leadership skills to ensure high quality and safe mental health service delivery.

About the role

The purpose of this role is to provide advanced level clinical, management and leadership skills to ensure high quality and safe mental health service delivery and to implement the strategic direction of a large multidisciplinary and multi-speciality Acute Care Team within Metro North Mental Health – Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (MNMH-RBWH) and at a service level.

About you

In terms of technical knowledge, skills, and experience and within the context of the responsibilities described under “Key Accountabilities” in the role description, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated well-developed clinical knowledge and skills in community mental health services including knowledge of recovery-oriented practice to ensure high quality and safe standards of clinical practice.
  • Demonstrated leadership with contemporary human resource knowledge and skills in leading and managing a multidisciplinary mental health team.
  • Demonstrated team and service development skills with an emphasis on integrated service provision including continuous quality improvement, service delivery planning, evaluation and research, and collaborative partnerships.
  • Demonstrated high level communication, team participation skills including the ability to influence a range of stakeholders to promote positive workplace culture and improve access to mental health services.
