(HEO6) $86,360 - $93,285 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation.Full time, Continuing positionTech Crew TechnicianWe are looking for an enthusiastic individual that is interested in providing IT support services comprising onsite face to face support and teaching technologies to staff and students at the University of Adelaide.The Tech Crew Specialist provides technical support for the University operating environment including operating systems and a variety of both main stream software packages and specialist teaching/research hardware and software across the various campuses and medical facilities at which the University has a presence. The Tech Crew Specialist is responsible for identifying and resolving incidents, advising staff and students on technical matters, providing information to the business on issues in the operating environment, and documenting solutions.This position delivers a high quality client focused service by providing; accurate and timely computing support, considerable problem solving experience and technical advice to the University community and establishing good working relationships with other professionals (e.g. vendors/ specialised IT groups) in investigating and providing resolutions where possible to a range of issues. To be successful in this role you will need the following -Knowledge and Experience:
- A team player who actively contributes to their team providing support to other team members to help them get the job done, meet goals or manage projects.
- Proven experience/knowledge in diagnosing and resolving a broad range of technical problems for desktops, laptops peripheral and mobile devices and associated software applications.
- Experience in a customer facing service environment and ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of users.
- Experience working effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to demonstrate practical troubleshooting and problem analysis techniques
- Actively participates in own professional development and growth.
- An understanding of IT service standards, SLAs and KPIs
- Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
- An IT related qualification and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training.
- Industry certifications (desirable).
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in software application packaging (desirable)
