Job description

Looking for a workplace that's truly rewarding? A role that provides structure & purpose along with the autonomy to be great, try new things and grow your career?

The Technical Alignment Manager (TAM) role is a unique role in the MSP space. It offers people passionate about technology a chance to move away from the help desk and instead work on proactive initiatives that will actively reduce tickets and improve client productivity.

It's the opportunity to deal with all the things that have always bothered you when working in supportbut never had the time nor freedom to do anything about it.

Rather than fixing individual issues you will be conducting technical reviews, adjusting configurations to align to best practices, helping identify & create new standards, as well as being given the space and autonomy to take ownership and be creative in finding unique ways to improve our clients technology experience.

This role has a high exposure to a variety of technologies, providing ongoing hands-on experience in addition to our commitment to provide continuous learning.

This role is ideal for individuals who:

  • Have a passion for technology and making things better.
  • Like to be able to take ownership and pride in their work.
  • Wants to feel that their work has meaning and purpose.
  • Is continually looking to grow their knowledge.
  • Wants to be given an active role in contributing to the company’s operations & technical direction.
  • Wants to work with a team of like-minded people.
A little About Us..

We're a growing MSP focused on delivering premium IT services to a select group of customers (Mostly SMB between 20-80 users). We're not trying to be everything to everyone, rather we aim to be the best at delivering one particular service offering to a specific type of client. What does that mean? It means we don't have clients that undervalue what we do, nor do we forsake our values for the allure of easy money.

We're a passionate group of people with high aspirations, working together to create something special in our industry.

Some key points about us:

  • We've ranked #2 MSP in Australia & NZ by the MSP501 (2023).
  • We've placed #12 Best Workplace in Australia (2023) and have obtained Great Place to Work® certification.
  • We're ISO27001 accredited
  • We host regular ‘lunch & learns’ and ‘tech nights’ aimed to continually develop our people.
  • We're an open book management company (feel free to google it) that is transparent about our numbers and shares the businesses prosperity in the form of bonuses for all staff.

Our company values are:

  • Understand Your Impact - We consider people in our decisions.
  • Make it Better, Forever - We build for future success.
  • Get in Their Corner - We always have each other's backs.
  • Be Curious - We continually learn and improve ourselves.
More about the role..

The primary duties of this role include:

  • Complete Technical Reviews of client networks to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform alignment activities, reconfiguring devices, systems, and infrastructure to align technology to best practice and standards.
  • Maintain documentation and ownership over client technical processes.
  • Identify further recommendations to improve our clients experience; reducing reactive tickets, making their lives easier.
  • Contribute to the technical direction of the company, further developing our best practices and standards.

You will be measured on your effectiveness to reduce client issues, identify risks & opportunities for improvement, as well as your contributions to the ongoing development of our processes and technical standards.

The right candidate is someone who is passionate about technology and the impact that it can make when implemented properly. It is someone that is curious, and wants to continue to learn and grow in their career. Finally, it is someone that wants to have purpose in what they do and contribute towards our collective ambitions.

How to go about joining us..

As stated, we want to work with like-minded people. This starts with ensuring we're only talking to people that are excited about this role and have actually read this advertisement.

Simply put, we don't want great candidates to get lost in the crowd, so we will be discarding all applications that don't follow the below instructions as a simple check.

How to apply:

  • Please submit both a resume & a cover letter.
  • Your cover letter doesn't have to be long, just ensure that you start the letter with the phrase ‘I’m ready to be awesome at sensible!'.
  • Bonus points if you include some feedback on what our company values mean to you, but not essential :)
