About the role:
We have an wxciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Department/Service. The role will be working in one of our many Collection Centres or Darlinghurst Campus sites as required. As a Pathology Collector the role will be and not limited to collecting blood and pathology samples from patients, processing of samples, paperwork and associated clerical duties.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Pathology Collector who possess a passion for person centred care.We welcome applications from people who have at least 6 months experience in the vacutainer method who are able to work various shifts including weekends. High standard of customer service, exceptional time management and clinical skills is required.

Selection Criteria:
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
- 12 months’ experience in the vacutainer method of collection, extensive knowledge of venepuncture, with appropriate qualifications and/or experience in relevant area of pathology.
- Demonstrated high quality customer service skills, coupled with a professional appearance.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously.
- Flexibility with working hours and ability to cover rotating 7 day roster.
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety and effective communication / interpersonal skills experience in a work setting
