Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
Position Profile: As a member of a team this position is responsible for the performance testing, safety inspection, calibration and preventive maintenance of medical equipment including infusion pumps, tympanic thermometers, and blood glucose monitors.
The successful applicant joins a team in the Technical Services division of Health Technology Management Unit (HTMU) supporting sites across the East Metropolitan and South Metropolitan Health Services.
Applicants must have a minimum of a Certificate of Secondary Education (Year10) or equivalent.
Prior experience with the servicing of medical equipment is not essential but the applicant should possess effective verbal and written communication skills. The ability to communicate and work as part of a professional team is essential.
