Rare opportunity to join an established IT consulting / MSP Autonomous role | Growing IT consultancy | up to $150,000 + Super + Bonuses
About my clientMy client is a local, privately-owned consulting and IT managed services organisation based on the city fringes, near tram and parklands. The culture is very team-oriented because everyone in the company gets a bonus which engenders a very supportive culture. They share the profit across the whole company and there is no hierarchy, as they have a very flat org chart. I have been recruiting for them on and off since 2013.
Unlike a lot of the “big” MSPs they don’t care if you don’t have certs. If you can do the job that’s good enough! If you have an interest in doing certs, however, you will be able to study during working hours, take paid time off to sit the exams and have the cost covered. You will be fully supported to further your professional development, this can include working towards certifications, attending conferences, webinars, networking events, tech sessions held by vendors etc
This is a consulting role and you will need to account for your time - the old "billable" hours. But they will not flog you like the Big 4 do. You will have work life balance and the opportunity to study whilst working and participate in industry events, networking events, social events and more.
They are seeking an experienced IT Professional with strong analytical competency and technical skills who is versed in many technologies. Being solutions orientated, consultative, business savvy and able to leverage a strong technical background in a wide range of technologies would make you a perfect fit for this role.
As a Consultant you will be expected to deliver professional IT consulting services across a multitude of different clients. With your extensive knowledge and experience you will be able to assist clients in managing their IT environments including assisting with IT reviews, planning, and overall
architectural designs.

- Deep technical experience on a specialty area that may include one or more of AWS, Azure, Microsoft Modern Workplace, Cybersecurity, Network & Communications, Server and Storage, Virtualisation and Identity Management.
- Knowledge and experience in various industry verticals with a good understanding of related IT systems utilised within these industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist our clients to navigate an increasingly complex technology landscape including assessing Cloud and other technologies to improve productivity, reduce risk and costs for clients.
- Technical design and architecture of IT Solutions.
- Implementation of IT solutions, system configurations and ensuring that technical projects meet the required specifications.

- Lead project engagements, including project planning, scheduling, and completing project governance requirements.
- Assist clients to provide IT reviews and recommendations on continuous IT improvement.
- Drive opportunity development and undertake pre-project scoping and planning.
- Contribute to the development of skills and knowledge in the consulting and services teams.
- Providing technical escalation to troubleshoot complex technical problems.
- A minimum of 7+ years experience delivering professional IT services
- You will need to hold an appropriate formal qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience with a wide range of technologies including Cloud, IT infrastructure, Communications, Mobile Devices, Security and Applications.
