The role:
Reporting to and assisting the Site Operations Manager, with a focus on continuous improvement, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of Technical Department on the site. Encompassing Training, Continuous Improvement, System Compliance (ISO, FSSC & 5S), Laboratory Management, Quality and Technical Expertise to internal & external stake holders.
While also conducting specific customer audits and reporting results to management and customers when required, you will also be providing technical service to customers across areas of responsibilities that include systems & compliance, supply chain interaction, continuous improvement & data driven decisions, training and process knowledge, marketing and behavioural.
Further to this, your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Operate at all times in accordance with Visy Health & Safety, HACCP, Quality, Environmental, and other relevant certification systems
- Manage an effective and compliant Quality & Food Safe Management system in accordance with the requirements of standard conformance (ISO / GSFI)
- Schedule, Document and conduct training that promotes a Safety & Quality Focus and improves business technical knowledge.
- Liaise with raw material suppliers to ensure ongoing conformance and continued improvement through product innovation trials.
- Actively participate in 5S Team Meeting Programs to promote & provide continuous improvement aligned with business strategies for World Class Manufacturing..
- Manage product testing and inspection data, ensuring compliance of manufactured product and raw materials.
What you will bring to the team:
- A proactive approach in Safety, Environment Management Systems, in our strategies of Continuous Improvement in World Class Manufacturing Standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills with strong emphasis on negotiating, motivating, and influencing others
- Leadership and Management with a background in operations
- Risk Management systems, safety legislation and other relevant legal obligations.
- Experience within a mature Lean organisation where you have developed your knowledge of Lean principles and operating practices
