About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Technical Manager within the Biomedical Engineering Department.
The primary objective of Biomedical Engineering is to assure the safety, effectiveness, availability and compliance of biomedical technology used directly for patient diagnosis, treatment or monitoring for or in connection with the public hospital and healthcare facilities of SA Health.
As the Technical Manager you report to the NALHN Biomedical Engineering Manager and be accountable for the supervision of a multidisciplinary team responsible for a range of timely plant, engineering and trade related remedial and maintenance services, advice, assistance and guidance in relation to critical biomedical devices and systems.
In this role you will provide specialised technical services, advice, assistance and guidance on very complex and major biomedical breakdowns and the availability, application and maintenance of current and emerging technologies in relation to biomedical devices and systems. You may personally specialise in a specific area of technology or operate at a high level of expertise across a range of technologies and facilitate the delivery of services that are considered highly specialised and critical to patient outcomes.
To be eligible for the position at TGO5 classification, you must hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant technical discipline.
To be eligible for the position at PO3 classification, you must hold a Degree in Biomedical Engineering (Biomedical) or equivalent with eligibility for full membership into one of the appropriate professional bodies.
