Role Summary:
The Operations Technical Officer is a newly created opportunity. You will support the operation, maintenance, and asset management of Future Energy assets (primarily large-scale battery energy storage systems, but also other Future Energy assets) through a commitment to safety, plant performance, stakeholder engagement, and through continuous improvement of systems, practices and processes to achieve operation targets.
You will play an integral as part of the team providing technical support and perform a lead role in Operations assignments encompassing maintenance and outage management, alarm response, liaising with Synergy’s trading team and control room, project management, permit to work and production coordination.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide Quality Assurance guidance into the development, currency and continuous improvement of Operating manuals and instructions (eg, Standard Operating Procedures)
- Support and manage Electrical scope of activities including but not limited to:
- LOTO/Switching procedure
- LV, MV, HV O&M
- BOP O&M
- Supervise people performing High-Risk work including:
- Installation, maintenance
- Operational services
- Operation of mobile equipment
- Perform In-field development of competency assessment instruments and provide in-field coaching, training and assessment of high-risk work.
- Trade qualified Electrician, with a WA Electrical licence and HV ticket.
- 5 Years experience in a similar or related field.
- Operations policies and procedures and supporting safe working practices.
- In-field supervision, coaching, development and competency assessment
- Preferred experience in power station operations, processes, and practices.
