Status: Full time – 37.5 hours per week

About The Role:
- Perform a wide range of Histology techniques including specimen reception, processing, embedding, and sectioning
- Perform specialist Histology techniques including immunohistochemistry, special stains, and anatomical cut-up
- Use laboratory application software
- Apply quality systems & continuous improvement processes
- Maintain equipment including cleaning and chemical handling
- Perform laboratory cleaning duties including specimen disposal
Selection Criteria:
- Appropriately qualified - Diploma in Laboratory Technology or 2 years’ full time study in a Science based degree
- Knowledge of current diagnostic techniques would be highly regarded
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work in a team environment without direct supervision
- An understanding of quality control techniques
- Proficient, motivated, enthusiastic and highly organised with great attention to detail
- Previous experience within a diagnostic laboratory in Histology will be considered advantageous
- Must be able to work 7.5hr rostered shifts between 630am and 1000pm Monday to Friday and weekends or public holidays as required.
- Must be able to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis at the time of application.
