About the role
This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm) and will be based at Nowra Administration Building.
The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.
Duties
Reporting directly to the Senior Civil Engineer, the focus of this position is to:
To provide technical support to Senior Civil Engineer in the maintenance and administration of the Design Engineering Team’s Quality Assurance systems and operations.- To undertake investigation, drafting, report writing, quantity and cost estimation tasks for a range of infrastructure projects.
- To assist in the engagement and management consultants to deliver high quality design solutions.
- To assist in providing traffic technical assessments, reports and recommendations.
Skills & Experience
In order to be successful in the position, you possess:
A Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant Qualification; or equivalent relevant industry experience.- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the delivery of civil infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of engineering drafting, CAD software packages, and spreadsheets, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
- Demonstrated ability to solve technical issues during the planning, and delivery phase of projects.
- The ability to manage consultants (eg. Survey) and contracts involved in investigation and design for infrastructure projects.
- Class C Driver’s Licence
