The Opportunity
We now have opportunity available for a mechanical trade to join our Operations and Maintenance team in in Kewdale, WA. Reporting to the Team Leader Parmeila South you will play a key role in maintaining gas transportation pipelines, delivery stations and other relevant equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain other mechanical equipment associated with gas pipelines e.g. pressure regulators and associated valves and assets.
- Undertake pipeline surveillance activities as per maintenance procedures and contractual requirements. Develop and maintain effective, supportive and reliable communication and professional working relationship with field and office based colleagues and external parties.
- Provide planned and unplanned support to ensure safe and efficient operation of gas pipeline and associated infrastructure.
- Assist with a range of non-trade specific tasks related to the operation and maintenance of transmission pipelines and associated facilities.
Your background
- Mechanical trade qualifications, with experience working on gas transmission pipelines.
- Strong commitment to Safety and Safety Management systems.
- Strong communication skills, a dedicated commitment to teamwork, and a demonstrated ability to foster positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Valid WA driver’s license.
- Able to work alone and unsupervised.
- Able to competently use relevant Microsoft computer applications with preferable previous experience using Maximo and Scada.
About the Team
The APA operational team in the Perth region operates and maintain the Parmelia gas pipeline energy assets. The team comprises of local technicians working between Pinjarra and Cataby. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Australia’s Energy transition and play a key role in supporting WA’s critical energy infrastructure.
