We have an exciting and collaborative leadership role with a landscaping and property maintenance business. The successful candidate will provide safe and excellent professional services in landscaping, gardening, and handywork and lead junior or less experienced members. This also involves added conscientiousness as “eyes on the ground” to look out for risks and ensure the team adheres to safe work practices. This is a casual full-time role with potential to go permanent.
About the role:
- Your responsibilities will include landscaping, gardening, handywork, etc.
- Instructing and supervising newer recruits who require training.
- Ensuring that your teams are providing the highest standard of service to our clients and adhere to safe work practices.
- Setting an exemplary standard in safety, work ethic, values, quality, behaviour, and conduct.
- Inspecting tools and work vehicles regularly and reporting back on any maintenance required.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, time spent, and materials used.
- Work closely with the Manager and conduct regular assessments of jobs completed, worksite dangers, risk assessments for new job sites, recommendations, etc.
The successful applicant has the following skills and experience:
- You will have experience in supervising a high-performance team, driving standards and constant improvements.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a similar role.
- High customer services aptitude.
- You will thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- High work ethic and work efficiency.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to create positive work environment and motivate other team members.
- High regard for safety.
- Represent the values of the company
