About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage an Technical Officer (Science). This position is located in their busy Adelaide office for an initial contract starting ASAP for 10 weeks .
About the Position
This role will be good for a junior Technician with the minimum Science Technician Certificate or equivalent.
Duties
- Complete specific tasks allocated
- Maintain equipment for AQC laboratory and other AWQC units and external customers
- Ensure all records are kept up to date
- Ensure timely response to operational enquiries
- Provide customer reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure efficiency and productivity targets are met
- Participate in internal audits, NATA/BSI/Quarantine audits
- Contribute to review processes of methods performed and make recommendations
Requirements/Skills
- Science Technician Certificate or equivalent (Mandatory)
- Ability to consistently work to a high level of analytical accuracy (Mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience in laboratory information management systems, preferred
- Sound knowledge of WHS practices and requirements for a laboratory, preferred
