SalaryEngineer or Scientist - Water Infrastructure

General Duties:
Work as part of a team to:
- Investigate the condition of Water Infrastructure assets such as water meters and water pipes.
- Carry out data logging and leakage detection tasks.
- Carry out field investigations to locate underground meters and pipes and update relevant databases and systems. Geospatial and GIS training will be provided if needed.
- Manage occupational health and safety (OH&S) requirements.
- Provide relevant reporting to other team members and team leader.
- Initial project period of 3 months, with possibility of subsequent extension.
General Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or degree in engineering or science would be preferable.
- Ability to work effectively as an individual or as a team member, both in the office and on site.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- ACT (or similar) Driver's License.
- Some experience with geospatial or GIS would be an advantage but not essential (as training will be provided if needed).
- Ability to start at short notice (if selected).
