Position Overview: As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and maintaining our professional reputation. Your responsibilities will span across project management, team leadership, business development, and customer relationship management, making you a key contributor to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
- Work closely with clients and contractors to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Manage not only your team but coordinate with all teams involved in the project.
- Oversee planning, forecasting, and problem-solving activities.
- Implement agile methodology for project management, organizing daily stand-ups for effective communication and issue resolution.
- Research, discuss, and implement new business development strategies in collaboration with management and sales teams.
- Utilize industry knowledge to promote and sell our sealing products within the Oil & Gas, Water, Mining, Energy, and Automotive industries.
- Cultivate and expand industry contacts to meet and exceed sales revenue targets.
- Liaise with existing clients, engineers, and parastatals to ensure correct product usage and meet client expectations.
- Provide technical expertise to ensure the products supplied meet the required standards.
- Conduct technical presentations to clients and represent the company at industry events and conferences.
- Sell products and services effectively to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Hands-on involvement in projects to stay abreast of ongoing work and contribute to project success.
- Communicate frequently and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively promote and sell sealing products, emphasizing STOPAQ systems.
- Conduct technical presentations and represent the company at industry events.
- Embrace business development opportunities and build industry contacts.
- Adapt to changing roles and responsibilities to meet overall company objectives.
Skills:
- Proven experience in Technical Sales, preferably in the industrial sector.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in implementing agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies.
- Technical background in sealing products, corrosion prevention, or related fields is an advantage.
