Job description

As a Technical Support Analyst - Distribution Centre, you will be supporting the day-to-day IT operations of our Distribution Centre in Tullamarine. You will play a vital role in ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of IT systems and technology critical to Distribution Centre activities.

The Role You Could Play:

We have a new opportunity for a Technical Support Analyst to join the MECCA team at our Distribution Centre in Tullamarine. Being based at our DC, you will provide support to team members based at the DC from Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm.

In this important role, you'll be a key part of our IT support team for the Distribution Centre. You'll be responsible for helping with technical issues, like fixing problems with hardware, software, and networks that the Distribution Centre team might face. Your focus on getting things done efficiently means issues get resolved quickly. You'll also handle incident management by receiving, prioritizing, and escalating IT incidents and service requests, keeping accurate records in our system for transparency and improvement. As a Hardware Support expert, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain important devices, such as conveyor systems and scanners. You'll help with software too, installing and troubleshooting applications and systems. Training your team on using IT resources effectively is part of the job, along with managing the Distribution Centre's IT inventory and collaborating with other IT teams. You'll keep a close eye on IT systems and networks to catch and fix potential issues before they cause trouble. Your dedication to clear and efficient documentation ensures everyone has the information they need. Lastly, as a Vendor Liaison, you'll communicate with external IT vendors to make sure we get the support we need quickly. Join our team and make a big impact on maintaining an advanced IT setup for our Distribution Centre operations.

What You Will Bring:

  • Technical Support: Provide Level 2 Technical Support for hardware, software, and network issues faced by Distribution Centre personnel, ensuring timely resolution of problems.

  • Incident Management: Receive, prioritize, and escalate IT incidents and service requests, maintaining accurate records of all incidents in the ticketing system.

  • Hardware Support: Troubleshoot, repair, and conduct routine maintenance on hardware devices commonly used in Distribution Centres, such as conveyor systems, RFID scanners, and handheld devices.

  • Software Support: Assist with software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting applications, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and other relevant operating systems.

  • User Training: Conduct user training sessions and provide documentation to help team effectively use IT resources.

  • Asset Management: Manage an inventory of IT assets within the Distribution Centre, including tracking hardware and software licenses.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the IT Service Desk team and other IT teams to resolve complex issues and implement IT projects and improvements.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of IT systems and networks within the Distribution Centre and proactively identify and address potential issues.

  • Documentation: Create and update documentation for IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides tailored to the Distribution Centre's needs.

  • Vendor Liaison: Communicate with external IT vendors for support and maintenance as needed, ensuring timely response and issue resolution.
