Senior Technical Support Engineer based in Bowral NSW with Work from Home potential

Our HQ is based in Bowral NSW in the beautiful Southern Highlands with staff attending the office one or two days per week. However there is the potential to work from home full time for the right candidate.
Opportunity
As a Senior Helpdesk Engineer - Level 2/3, you will report to the IT Service Delivery manager and be part of the wider IT team. Your focus will be to act as the first line of contact for Aurora clients as well other engineers. You will be responsible for:
- Triaging and managing the resolution of both Level 1 and 2 incidents and service requests by providing excellent technical assistance and customer service to all clients.
- Aiding in the installation and troubleshooting of incidents lodged at the Service Desk relating to hardware, software and related infrastructure.
- Escalation of issues to Level 3 technical staff whilst maintaining ownership of assigned incidents and service requests.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a Service Desk environment.
- A Strong customer service ethic
- Good problem-solving techniques
- Attention to detail
- Ability to clearly communicate technical instructions, remotely
- Experience with escalations and mentoring other staff
- Excellent Time Management skills.
Demonstrable and excellent knowledge of:
Microsoft 365 and Intune/Azure environments is essential
Scripting and PowerShell advanced knowledge
Wireless & Network Environments, including: connectivity, configuration and troubleshooting of: switches, routers, firewalls and security.
Windows 10/11 OS Support
Ticketing, PSA and RMM Systems
Preferred Requirements:
Industry/Microsoft certifications
Experience in an MSP environment.
Technical Support Experience and development with Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, Intune and Active Directory design.
